This week we return to the coffee shop to discuss this week’s Sofa Theater feature, director Rian Johnson's original take on the detective genre… Brick.
And along the way we mention… a mad scientist with the wall of sound, Peanuts, the Japanese guy on Gilligan’s Island that didn’t know the war was over, Lynchian, 10 Things I Hate about You, it sticks to it’s business, meeting John Carpenter and Adrienne Barbeau in the 80’s, she’s the person who doesn’t get in wrecks… but she causes them, Blue Velvet, wearing uncool loafers, River’s Edge, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, cleaning up for the strippers, speaking Mandarin, and petitioning to get Jess Weixler a plaque.
